From Personal Effort to Organized Impact

While DaweB Education & Elderly Support was formally established in November 2025, much of the work reflected on this page began years earlier through the personal efforts of its founder, Habibo Ali.

For several years prior to founding DaweB, Ms. Ali independently supported children, mothers, and elderly community members in Yabello and surrounding areas—providing school materials, emergency food assistance, medical support, and housing aid. These efforts were carried out using her own resources and trusted local community connections. The projects below reflect this full journey.

The Eid Clothing Distribution in 2026 represents the first major initiative organized under DaweB as a formal organization. All earlier efforts (2022–2025) were carried out personally by Ms. Ali and later became the foundation for DaweB’s mission and structure.

1. Eid Clothing Distribution for Orphaned and Underprivileged Children — 2026

Date: March 12, 2026
Location: Yabello, Borana Zone

This event represents the first major initiative organized under DaweB following its formal establishment.

On March 12, 2026, DaweB Education & Elderly Support, led by founder Habibo Ali and supported by volunteers, organized an Eid clothing distribution for orphaned and underprivileged children in Yabello.

The initiative was carried out in coordination with IQRA Charity and Development Association, a local voluntary organization. Together, they provided new Eid clothing to 70 children from low-income households, helping ensure they could celebrate the holiday with dignity and joy.

The event brought together community members, volunteers, and local partners. For many of the children, receiving new clothing was more than material support—it was a moment of inclusion, confidence, and recognition from their community.

This project marked an important transition from individual acts of support to a structured, collaborative, and community-driven effort under DaweB.

2. Educational Material Distribution — Ardaya Kebele (2025)

Date: 2025 (multiple give aways)
Location: Ardaya Kebele, Yabello

Before DaweB was formally established, Habibo Ali personally supported children in need by providing essential school materials.

During her 2025 visit to Yabello, she distributed books, pens, pencils, and school bags to orphaned and underprivileged children in Ardaya Kebele. This support helped remove basic barriers to education and allowed more children to attend and participate in school.

3. Educational Material Distribution — Daka Kake Kebele (2024)

Date: 2024
Location: Daka Kake Kebele, Yabello

In 2024, Habibo Ali continued her personal efforts by providing school supplies to children in Daka Kake Kebele.

Focusing on orphaned and low-income students, this initiative ensured that children had the basic materials needed to remain in school and continue their education despite financial challenges.

4. Eid al-Fitr Celebration Support — IQRA (2025)

Date: 2025
Location: Yabello

Before the formation of DaweB, Habibo Ali supported local Eid celebrations in coordination with IQRA, a community-based voluntary organization.

She provided cakes and gifts for orphaned and underprivileged children, helping create a joyful and inclusive environment during Eid. These efforts ensured that children facing hardship could still participate in important cultural and religious celebrations.

5. Medical Assistance Program — Yabello Hospital (2025)

Date: 2025
Location: Yabello Hospital

As part of her ongoing personal support for the community, Habibo Ali funded and organized medical assistance efforts for elderly individuals in Yabello.

These initiatives focused on ensuring that vulnerable elders—especially those without sufficient family or financial support—could access necessary medical care and attention, reinforcing the importance of dignity and care in later life.

6. Emergency Food & Crisis Response — Hola Kature (2022)

Date: 2022
Location: Hola Kature, Yabello

During a period of drought and food insecurity, Habibo Ali provided financial support for emergency food distribution in Hola Kature.

The effort was organized locally in coordination with community leaders and local government representatives. Essential food supplies were distributed to families facing urgent need, helping stabilize households during a critical time and ensuring that children and elders were not left without support.

7. Elder Housing Construction — Yabello (2023)

Date: 2023
Location: Rural Yabello

One of the earliest and most impactful efforts took place in 2023, when Habibo Ali supported the construction of a home for an elderly woman living in unsafe and deteriorating conditions after a serious injury.

After learning that the woman had no proper shelter and was living in extreme hardship, Ms. Ali mobilized support through trusted local contacts. Over time, she contributed more than $5,000 toward building a modest but secure home, including basic furnishings.

The completed home restored safety, dignity, and independence for the elderly woman.

Additional Support

Alongside the housing effort, Ms. Ali also provided support to other vulnerable elders, including:

  • Wheelchairs and walkers

  • Basic care supplies

  • Mobility assistance

These efforts helped improve quality of life and allowed many individuals to live with greater comfort and independence.
